"We’re very fortunate that we’re living in a time when people are discussing these things and people are a little more free to be themselves. Of course, there’s still a lot of discrimination that we have to get over and there are still a lot of acts of violence, which is just sad that this keeps happening. But at least now the alarm bells are getting louder and people are paying more attention to these incidents. So, we have a voice and we might as well try to use our music as a political statement or just to get people thinking, to question things."
